Hyundai woos young drivers with Veloster Turbo 2016

The new model has a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox featuring shiftronic automatic technology for increased power.

Apparently aiming at the youth, Hyundai has come up with the 2016 Veloster Turbo, which fuses performance with state-of-the-art infotainment features for an exhilarating ride that young drivers seek.

The new model, which is now across Middle East, is a mix of a sports car and a sedan encapsulated in a “Fluidic Sculpture” design template seen to drop jaws.

The new Veloster Turbo has a seven-speed dual clutch with shiftronic automatic technology that produces 204 horsepower from a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, turbo powerhouse.

On board is a seven-inch multi-media touchscreen giving access to technology by a fingertip.

The Veloster Turbo has a gas-filled single-tube shock absorbers in the front augmented by a motor-driven power steering system plus front and rear stabilizers for a totally easy handling and control.

A Torque Vectoring Control system maximizes stability and safety while a seven-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel further nail it for a really smooth ride.

The new model’s other features preppy highlights include a stealth 3rd door, LED headlight accents, contour lines which make it recognizable at first sight,18-inch alloy wheels with 10mm-wider fitted tires, chrome-tipped dual exhaust, stylish bodykit and a special wide-mouthed grille.

Adding to this chic appeal is a glass rear hatch and panoramic sunroof – optional, that is – which gives a roomy feel, and a sport-bike inspired dashboard.

On the safety side, the Veloster Turbo is equipped with a Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) system for better traction especially during tight maneuvers, sudden lane change or speedy cornering.

Six airbags and an advanced braking technique that features an electronic brake force augmenting the usual anti-lock braking system (ABS) further ensure protection.

Hyundai is among popular cars in the Middle East, along with Nissan UAE, Mitsubishi UAE, and Toyota UAE.
