2015 Nissan Juke now in Middle East showrooms

The new model comes with turbo-charged engine and increased roominess.

The 2015 Juke is now in showrooms across Nissan UAE and the rest of the region with a powerful turbo-charged engine and a host of innovations ranging from improved connectivity to increased roominess.

Samir Cherfan, managing director for Nissan UAE and the Middle East, said at the urban crossover’s recent launch that upgrades have been made “but not at the expense of the traits that have made the Juke such a success.”

He said the market for urban crossovers in the region will be “thrilled” with the new Juke because it, in every way, delivers being an “extremely comfortable high ride with fast, sporty response.”

“Customers will discover that this crossover thrills them as much as a sports car. They will also appreciate the increased roominess,” he said.

The Juke, which reportedly has been a global success since its 2010 launch, comes in three grades – S, SL, and SL Turbo. Engine is a choice between a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated one and a direct injection 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder version.

Three driving modes are available: normal, sport and eco. A new audio system has been installed as well as improved connectivity from the latest generation NissanConnect.

The headlights have been tweaked with LED daytime runners; the grille has been updated and the under-bumper trim has been made stronger. Door mirrors are now equipped with LED repeaters and a new rear view camera while the rear bumper has been made to look tougher, matching the revised tail-lights which have been equipped with a LED “Light Guide Technology.”

Roominess is increased in the cargo area through a flat-folding rear seat and a two-stage floor in the luggage area

To have space for large travel bags, lift the second-row seats and bring down the cargo floor. Also, adjust the floor by folding the seats down.

The new Nissan Juke has front airbags, ABS disc brakes with EBD, and stability control and optional side-curtain airbags.

Nissan Juke prices start at AED66,004.

Nissan Dubai is a popular choice of people looking to buy new cars.
