OnCarX does a one-on-one with Audi Volkswagen managing director for the Middle East
Audi will be introducing “a lot of new products” next year, according to Trevor Hill, managing director of Audi Volkswagen Middle East, in an exclusive interview with OnCarX.
“We really want to focus on preparing our markets and our dealers for 2015,” Hill said. “We got a lot of new products coming into the market,” he added.
Trevor said Audi has 30 percent of the premium segment market in the GCC. “We measure ourselves in this segment. We have 30 percent of the segment market versus our core competitors,” he said.
Audi is among popular cars for sale in Dubai and the rest of GCC.
“Dubai is definitely our single biggest market,” Hill said, adding that sales in the region have posted a double digit growth. “And we want to keep it at that,” he said.
Meantime, Hill said Audi is keeping its focus on “getting really good products into the market.”
“We want to focus a lot on quality and on our network,” he said.
Hill said the car company’s dealers have all together embarked on an expansion plan worth “in excess of US$200 million.”
Audi has recently unleashed the 2015 Audi TT, a sports car coveted by those looking to buy cars for sale in the region.
“The TT,” said Hill, “is a design icon.”
“It broke the mold. A brand needs a brand icon. The TT is our brand icon,” Hill said.
He also said that the 2015 Audi TT is “much lower and a bit wider.” Highlights of the 2015 Audi TT, Hill said, is the state-of-the-art technology that it has including the “virtual cockpit.”
“You can program the whole dashboard according to your need,” he said.
Among other sought-after cars for sale in the region are Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes Dubai, BMW Dubai, Nissan UAE and Mitsubishi UAE.
